Meet This Year’s Scholarship Recipients Heading to Sweden

We are thrilled to introduce this year’s three outstanding scholarship recipients! All of them live and study right here at universities in New England, and they are currently preparing for exciting academic journeys abroad in Sweden.

• Erin Sheehan (Bowdoin College) Erin will be packing her bags for the capital! She is set to spend the Spring 2027 semester studying at the prestigious Stockholm School of Economics.

• Shruthika Padhy (Brown University) Shruthika is also bound for Stockholm. She will be expanding her academic horizons at the Stockholm School of Economics during the upcoming Fall 2026 semester.

• Gabrielle Brocki (University of Connecticut) Gabrielle will be heading to the historic university town in the south. As an Engineering major, she will be pursuing her studies at Lund University.

A Wonderful Celebration at Nordic Hall

To celebrate these remarkable students and wish them well on their upcoming adventures, we recently hosted a celebratory scholarship luncheon. The event was a resounding success!

We gathered a vibrant group of about 30 guests in the beautiful Nordic Hall at the Scandinavian Cultural Center, sharing great food, warm conversations, and inspiring connections.

We wish Erin, Shruthika, and Gabrielle the absolute best of luck with their studies in Sweden!
