SWEA International, Swedish Women’s Educational Association, is a non-profit global organization dedicated to the promotion of Swedish culture and the encouragement of friendship and personal growth among its members.

SWEA Boston offers scholarships to female undergraduate and graduate students or doctoral candidates who want to pursue studies, work/study, or research in Sweden for at least one semester or a full academic year. In special circumstances, applicants who are planning studies or projects during the summer are also considered. Students/candidates must be from a New England college/university.

For the academic year of 2024/2025, the total scholarship amount is $12,000. Please note that all applications for the academic year 2024/2025 (fall and spring semesters) are due April 15, 2024.

SWEA members from the past 5 years and their close family members are excluded from participation.
